John Knapp is a professor of history and former director of the Buckingham, Browne & Nichol's School in Cambridge, MA, as well as the former head of the High School of the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. He specializes in French and American political history and has written books and articles in those fields. He received his PhD in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
